Now, let’s learn about what 2D animation is and how we can effectively create animations on our mobile phones.

What is 2D Animation?

2D animation is a popular and versatile form of art used in games, cartoons, educational content, and advertising. Learning and creating 2D animations on mobile devices can be quite easy with proper guidance and practice.

Getting Started with 2D Animation on Mobile

The first step to creating 2D animations on mobile devices is to choose the right tools that suit your needs and goals. There are many software options available for 2D animation, such as:

  • Flipaclip
  • Draw cartoon 2
  • Animation desk
  • Ibis paint x
  • Do some research and compare these options before deciding which one to use. Each software has its own features and capabilities, so choose the one that best fits your animation style and requirements.

Using these software for 2D animation offers several benefits:

    • Portability: Create animations anywhere and anytime.
    • Cost-Effective: Many mobile animation apps can be used for free.
    • User-Friendly: Many mobile animation apps are designed to be easy to use, even for beginners.

    • To create professional 2D animations, we must first develop high-quality characters and backgrounds.

    • If we create our characters and backgrounds professionally, our animation will automatically look professional.

There are a few AI tools available that can help us create both characters and backgrounds. I will explain various tips and tricks to help you create professional characters and backgrounds.

Types of 2D Animations on Mobile

There are two main styles of 2D animations:

  • Traditional Hand-Drawn Animation: Using apps to draw frame-by-frame animations.
  • Cut-Out Animation: Creating animations with pieces or “cut-outs” of images.
What Animation Style Should You Choose?

I recommend starting with cut-out animations. They are easier to create and save a lot of time compared to traditional 2D animation. However, you need to work on creating high-quality characters and backgrounds. There are AI tools available that can help you create backgrounds and characters more easily.
